I took my car in because it suddenly started overheating. Amazing Auto did pressure checks on the car's cooling system to find any possible leaks. They called me and said there were no major issues and only had to do minor maintenance type repairs. I mentioned that other shops in the past have told me my serpentine belt needed replacing, so please take a look at that while they had the car....

Their mechanics are paid by the hour and not by commission, so there's never a "hard sell" on something not really needed or for expensive extras. They give you the straight truth: what you need now, pricing options, and what you'll need at some point (and how long you can wait). - They take care to explain everything to you. I was walked through the initial quote, received timely updates, had options explained, and when the work was done the mechanic showed me the box of my worn/damaged parts and explained why and how they were replaced. He even showed me the mechanics of how my braking system worked. As someone who is not mechanically inclined I appreciate they put things in a way I can understand while also not talking down to me. - They go "above and beyond". Example is the time I had to take my motor apart they came well under cost and did a couple of hours at no charge. The guys here are the best. I drop by constantly with little things that need tending, and they always take great care of me. They're honest, trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable, friendly...I could go on for days.-you can also get an oil change for $20 to boot.

We bought a used car in San Antonio for our youngest son who's getting ready to turn 16. No sooner did we get it home to Round Rock before we started noticing there were things wrong with the vehicle. We tried to contact the dealer we bought if from, but they hid behind the "As Is" clause in the paperwork.We took the car to Damon at Amazing Auto and he performed a comprehensive vehicle inspection which discovered several things wrong with it (LESSON LEARNED: Do the inspection BEFORE you buy the car!) Anyhow, Damon gently broke the news to us that the front transfer case needed to be rebuilt and that the #3 cylinder was misfiring; among other things. Yikes!Damon and his crew worked hard to fix the transfer case and various other fixes. Damon kept us informed of the progress throughout the process--whether it was good news or bad news, and even came in a little less expensive on the transfer case fix than he estimated.Unfortunately the #3 cylinder ended up requiring dealership-specific service because of the special equipment required to service the engine, but Damon was able to pretty much diagnose the root cause of the problem so it was easy to explain to the dealership when we took it in.We totally feel like Damon took care of our son's car as if it were his own. We feel confident that we can let our son drive this car without any concerns about its mechanical safety and reliability because of the work Amazing Auto Repair performed on it!Damon helped make a bad situation less painful than it could have been if we had taken the car to a shop whose only concern would have been to make a lot of money on the repairs.
