My daughter is a student at UT Austin, she has her little beater car that gets her around. Recently, it would not start. The first place she went diagnosed the problem and was going to charge her over $700 to replace the battery and cables. She towed the car back home and a friend replaced the battery. This did not resolve the problem. I called Amazing Auto Repair and spoke with Damon. I expressed my concerns about the other shop and the fact that she, nor I, could afford costly auto repairs. He let me know that there would be a charge to diagnose and his rates are below the average in the area. I felt he was trustworthy and we had the car towed there. It was a problem with the cables and his original estimate was about $180 which included the diagnostics. When she arranged to pick up the car the total bill was $120!!!! I was thrilled, she was thrilled and we were both so appreciative of the great service!! I highly recommend Damon and Amazing Auto Repair to everyone, especially those who need to put their trust in someone when your child is a way at college and you can't be there to help them in situations like this. My son’s car transmission broke down in Elgin TX; I had the car towed to the nearest dealership which gave me a quote for a rebuild of the transmission that was not very palatable. As I live in Houston, I started looking for an alternate place on the internet (my son is a student in Austin): I found Damon’s shop ‘Amazing Auto Repair & Transmission’ which had excellent reviews. Damon had the car towed to his shop and performed the repairs while constantly informing me of the ‘extra’ problems they found on the car: his estimate for the repairs was $1,700.00 below the quote I got at the Dealership. My son’s car was fixed 2 month ago and everything is running fine since. I am very happy to have dealt with Amazing Auto Repair, Damon was always polite and pleasant to deal with, and my son’s car also benefits from his 24 months / 24k miles whichever comes first, warranty now.

Just moved from the Maine to Austin and I've been looking for a place to take my car. I've tried a few others in the area and have not been very impressed. Amazing auto exceeded my expectations of quality and service. They were very professional and know how to treat their customers right. The guy at the counter even drove to a Redbox to rent a video for my kids while we waited for my brakes to be finished. Class act. Highly recommended.

Took my car here after I hit a curb, and they were great! I am completely clueless when it comes to cars and they took the time to explain (multiple times) what was wrong so I understood. They quoted me on a price, and when I came in it was cheaper than what I had expected. They also took the time to get me a quote on my bent wheel (which they don't repair) at a different shop down the road. I can't say enough good things about the customer service. Even as I was walking out to leave he offered to take a picture of my wheel to see if he could find it at a junkyard so I wouldn't have to buy a new one. I will definitely be taking my car back here next time I need to!

We have been taking our five vehicles to Amazing Auto for more than 5 years now! Damon, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and honest, and works hard to troubleshoot and deliver outstanding service at a reasonable price. Several year ago our Nissan Titan Truck needed the engine replaced. We were aghast at what the dealership and several other repair shops were estimating that job to cost. Damon saved us over $4000 and our Titan is still going strong. At another point, we had a vehicle that needed a new Transmission. Talk about a painful repair estimate! I met the owner a few years ago and know him to be a person of integrity. After an auto accident he gave me some suggestions about dealing with my insurance company. I have two great auto repair people I trust in Austin, I’m fortunate, most people don’t have one. Damon at Amazing Auto Repair is one of those two people.
